Joe Wilburn’s practice on is focused on commercial real estate titles and transactions. Prior to entering the legal profession, Joe worked as a Financial Specialist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Since 1998, he has worked in the field of real estate law. Early in his legal career, Joe worked primarily as a title examiner, conducting title exams of residential property, raw land and commercial real estate of all types. This experience gave him a solid foundation in detecting irregularities and defects in titles and distinguishing them from minor issues that do not affect the marketability of a title. Over the years, Joe has assisted in clearing many title problems for a multitude of properties.

Representing, at various times, lenders, title companies, buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants, Joe has an extensive background in commercial real estate titles and transactions.

A native of Atlanta, Joe earned his B.B.A. in 1987 and his M.S. in Finance in 1990 from Georgia State University, College of Business Administration. Joe received his J.D. degree in 1995 from Georgia State University, College of Law. He is admitted to the Georgia Bar.
